Our Mission

Micah House is a Christ-centered afterschool program providing academic support, mentoring, and social-emotional care for children and families in under-served neighborhoods.

Every Child Deserves the Opportunity to Flourish

Children thrive when they are known, supported, encouraged, and given opportunities to grow.

Yet many children and families in under-resourced neighborhoods face challenges that can make success harder to achieve. Academic struggles, financial hardship, social pressures, and limited access to opportunities can create barriers that affect a child's confidence, well-being, and future.

We Build Relationships

We believe lasting change happens through trusted relationships. Our staff and volunteers take time to know each child by name, celebrate their successes, and walk alongside them through challenges.

We Support the Whole Child

Academic success matters, but children need more than homework help. We help students grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and as leaders, all within the context of a safe and welcoming environment afterschool.

We Strengthen Families

Parents and caregivers play the most important role in a child's life. We seek to encourage and support families through meaningful relationships, resources, and community connections. Strong communities are built when children and families are given the opportunity to flourish.
